The rules of Foil

In force from 16 September 2026 · Privacy Policy

Foil sells packs of tokenised stock on a public chain. Foil is an independent product of Foil Labs and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Robinhood Markets, Inc., Robinhood Europe or any issuer, exchange or wallet named on this site; those names identify third-party rails only. This page is the agreement between you and Foil. It is written in plain language on purpose: the odds, the fees and the way you get paid are all stated here, and nothing about how Foil works depends on trusting us.

1 · What Foil is

Foil is a game shop. You buy a pack at a fixed price in USDG on Robinhood Chain. Opening the pack draws one result per pull from the published odds table for that price tier. Each result names a ticker from the pack and a multiplier of the pack price. You then choose how the result is paid: as USDG, or as the matching Stock Token bought on the open market and sent to your wallet.

Stock Tokens are issued by third parties, not by Foil. Foil is not a broker, an exchange, a custodian or an investment firm. Foil does not issue, create or redeem Stock Tokens, and holds no client assets.

Every pack on Foil is created by Foil. There is no way for a user to list a pack.

Keys are a record of your activity: paid rips, daily claims, quests and friends you bring. Keys have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed, and are never spent. Foil may consider the Keys record if it ever launches a token or a pass; nothing is promised, no rate or allocation is stated, and Foil may change or end the record at any time.

Rebate is a promotional credit that accrues when a paid rip returns less than its price, at a rate Foil sets and may change. Rebate can only be used to open Rebate packs on Foil. It has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, transferred or sold, and expires if the beta ends. The odds on a Rebate pack are the printed odds of its tier.

Referrals pay in Keys only. Foil may withhold or reverse referral Keys that look like self-referral or abuse.

2 · Who may use it

By using Foil you confirm that all of the following are true:

Access to the beta is by invite code. A code may be used by one wallet and is not transferable once used.

3 · The odds

Every pack prints the odds of its price tier, and those odds are the ones that apply at the moment you pay. No result returns less than 0.7× the pack price.

Legendary (always the pack's chase)0.5%0.5%0.6%0.6%12×
Average return to players87.6%90.3%92.2%93.0%

The average return is a long-run statistical property, not a promise about your session. Most single pulls return less than the pack price. Foil keeps the difference between what players pay and what the table pays out; that margin is how Foil makes money and it is stated above rather than hidden.

Rip Battles use the same tables for both sides. The winner receives a bonus equal to 10% of the stake against a house agent, or 10% of the combined stake against another player, and ties split it. Both sides keep their own pulls.

4 · How draws are made

Each day Foil generates a secret server seed and publishes its hash before any draw that day. Every draw combines that server seed, a client seed and a counter. After the day ends the server seed is revealed, so any player can recompute every pull of that day and confirm it was not changed after the fact.

Every draw is bound to the payment transaction that bought it. One payment buys exactly one draw. Reloading, retrying or losing your connection cannot produce a second draw from the same payment.

5 · Paying and being paid

You pay from your own wallet, in USDG on Robinhood Chain, to the Foil treasury address. Foil reads that payment from the blockchain and only then draws your result.

When you choose how to be paid:

Payouts normally arrive within minutes. Some tickers do not have a market deep enough to deliver automatically; those pay in USDG instead, and the app tells you before you choose. If a purchase would move the market price by more than 2%, Foil declines to buy and the result is paid in USDG.

Payouts are sent only to the wallet that made the payment. Foil cannot redirect a payout to a different address.

6 · Custody

Foil never holds your money. There is no Foil account balance, no deposit and no withdrawal. Funds move directly between your wallet and Foil's treasury on the blockchain.

You are responsible for your wallet, your keys and your device. Blockchain transactions are final and cannot be reversed by Foil. If you lose access to your wallet, or if someone else gains access to it, Foil cannot recover or freeze anything.

7 · Fees

Foil charges no separate fee on a pack, a cash payout or a sale. Foil's margin is the difference between the pack price and the odds table, which is printed above. Costs outside Foil's control still apply: network gas on every transaction you sign, and the liquidity pool's own trading fee when stock is bought or sold.

8 · Errors and refunds

Packs are not refundable once a draw has been made; that is the nature of the product, and the odds are printed before you pay.

These cases are made right:

If you believe any of these applies to you, contact Foil with the transaction hash. Every payment, draw and payout is recorded on the blockchain and can be checked by either of us.

9 · Your conduct

You agree not to: use Foil where it is unlawful for you to do so; use automated scripts to place rips or drain the payout system; attempt to predict, influence or exploit the draw process; interfere with the service, its servers or its contracts; use Foil to launder money or to move the proceeds of crime; misrepresent who you are; or create multiple identities to abuse invites, referrals or promotions.

10 · Access and suspension

Foil is in beta. Features can change, and the service may be unavailable at times. Foil may suspend or withdraw access where there is a credible concern of abuse, fraud, sanctions exposure, or a breach of these terms, and may decline to open packs for a wallet in those circumstances. Amounts already owed to you for completed draws are still paid.

11 · Risk disclosure

Read this part carefully.

12 · Not advice

Nothing on Foil is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Pack contents reflect a theme, not a view on any company. You make your own decisions and are responsible for your own taxes.

13 · Our content

The Foil name, design, artwork and software are ours. You may share screenshots and pull cards freely, including for promotion. You may not copy the service, resell access, or present Foil as your own.

If you launch a pack as a creator, you keep no rights over the tickers it names, you confirm you have the right to any name or image you supply, and Foil may remove a pack that is misleading, infringing or abusive.

14 · Liability

Foil is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a purpose or non-infringement. Foil does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Foil is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for losses caused by market movements, third-party issuers, blockchain networks, wallet software, or your own loss of keys. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total amount you paid to Foil in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15 · Changes

Foil may change these terms, the packs on sale and the odds tables. The version of the terms and the odds that apply to a pack are the ones published at the moment you pay for it. Material changes are announced on the site. Continuing to use Foil after a change means you accept it.

16 · Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction of the operator, to be set], and the courts of that place have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you a different right. Before starting formal proceedings, contact Foil so that we can try to settle the matter directly.

17 · Contact

Questions, disputes and payment problems: [email protected]. Include the transaction hash where one applies.

Foil is operated by Pappygold. Stock Tokens are issued by third parties and are not offered to US persons. By using Foil you accept these terms and the printed odds.
